george ugarte — graphic designer

Being a graphic designer brings me great satisfaction as it allows me to leverage my creative talents, and help others visually express themselves. As a student at Drexel, my coursework included typography, visual communication, web and motion design, package design, and exhibition design to name a few. Additionally, I was on the Dean’s List for the entirety of my time in the program. I paired my design education with some basic classes on HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, which contributed to a well-rounded skillset. I applied my experience in a real-world environment during my COOP, at MilkCrate LLC.  

MilkCrate is an organization that creates mobile applications for non-profits. I worked closely with clients, designed applications, and collaborated with both designers and developers to improve MilkCrate's platform. This experience taught me to cooperate with people of varying backgrounds, organize content to be functional yet visually pleasing, and manage time between multiple projects. Throughout my career I hope to further these lessons and work for a mixture of smaller design firms, as well as larger corporations. I prioritize adaptability and believe that I can succeed in any position. In my free time I enjoy hiking, skating, gaming, and keeping up with the latest in consumer technology.
